Wedding Speech Structurer
A great wedding speech has a structure. Fill in each section, track your timing, and copy the full speech when you're ready. Works for best man, maid of honour, parent speeches, or the couple.
Delivery tips
- 130 words per minute is a natural, confident pace, slower than you think.
- Write the way you talk, not the way you write. Read it aloud while writing.
- Stories beat adjectives every time. "She's amazing" is forgettable. A specific story is not.
- The funniest line in any wedding speech usually comes from telling the truth with affection.
- End on warmth, not humour. The final 30 seconds are what people remember.
- Practice at least 5 times before the day, don't rely on reading it word for word.
